"It is a joy to be hidden, but a disaster not to be found" D.W. Winnicott

Nice to meet you

ABOUT ME

My initial interest in psychotherapy started in high school in Lithuania when I discovered the world of psychology. I was fascinated by the mystery of the human mind and was curious to know why we think, feel, and behave in the ways that we do, and do it differently. What defines that? A few years later, I was in London doing a BSc Psychology degree. My training courses have given me opportunities to explore the spectrum of different approaches to psychotherapy, but none felt as true to me as the psychodynamic approach. Perhaps because I was able to find the answers that I was looking for. The experience of meeting and working with some great psychodynamic psychotherapists has further grown my interest in the field. I then decided to turn my path to the specialty of psychodynamic psychotherapy, which involved years of intensive learning, both professionally, as well as on a deeper, personal level.

I have worked with very diverse populations - with different age groups, genders, sexual identities and orientations; different ethnic, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds; with individuals from different walks of life, and so I warmly welcome all to my practice. I believe that our backgrounds can shape us in a major way, but that equally there may be too many preconceptions. Therefore, I give a special attention to understanding what it means to you?

I have been honoured to witness psychodynamic therapy creating a profound positive impact on many lives, and I hope it can help you too.

With warmest wishes,

Ieva

Coming from a competitive sports background, the injury that ended up making me give up my career was a hard blow. With therapy, I was able to start building my identity around other things than just sport.
